The CA Census sought to ensure that everyone in California was counted in the 2020 Census. This meant reaching people who have been historically, undercounted. We built social channels that were accessible and friendly to help dispel any hesitation around the Census. Working with local partners, we connected with communities and used a combination of relatable images, hand-drawn type and characters to educate and encourage Census participation.
